TV Shows I'm Loving Right Now #1
If you know me, you know there are not many things that I love doing more than to curl up infront of the laptop and binge on TV shows. This year I've been slacking a bit, but there are still some shows I am obsessing over right now and of course, whenever I find new stuff that I enjoy, I'll share with you!
Elementary
Modern day Sherlock Holmes and the brilliant Joan Watson. I love watching this in the winter times for some reason, just the idea of curling up under a blanket with a cup of tea and this playing makes me feel so happy. Of course, there are many TV and Film interpretations of Sherlock (BBC Sherlock is brilliant too), but I love watching episodes every week and Elementary has been constant on my watch list since the pilot season. The story is that Sherlock was a drug addict detective who was forced to move to New York by his father whom hired former surgeon Joan Watson (now a sober companion) to watch over Sherlock. Slowly they bond and form a friendship and Joan decides to become a detective and she trains under Sherlock.
2 Broke Girls
Are you looking for a show that won't take too much out of your time, kind of like FRIENDS? Well, look no further. Max and Caroline met in a diner 6 years ago and they've been best friends since. Their journey, jokes, lives and pop-culture references are hilarious and I honestly can't wait for future episodes!
Conviction
I love when a production does a brilliant casting. And there seems to be an on-going theme with me and criminal shows. Anyway, Hayley Atwell is the main star of Conviction (and I am still mourning Agent Carter), but this new character of Hayley's (Hayes Morrison) is a brilliant rebellious young woman who is empowered and wants to do justice in the corrupt justice system.
How to Get Away with Murder
I will write more (and soon, hopefully) about my fascination with Shonda Rhimes, but even if you are not a fan of Scandal or Grey's Anatomy (first of all, how could you?) , HTGAWM is on another level. The casting is epic, the show likes to keep you on your toes, the plot twists are endless, the time jumps get you all mixed up and you wonder in which point in time you are currently. Brilliant!!
Tutankhamun
I have been always been fan of Egyptian mythology, stories and when I was younger, my mum bought me a book on the discovery of the tomb of King Tut. The show Tutankhamun covers exactly this topic - the long and laborious ordeal that accompanied the discovery of the "cursed" tomb. The series has only 4 episode, Howard Carter is played by my favorite Max Irons and I can't recommend it more!
